Biography

You spot a Memory Shard, washed up onto the Obsidian Shore, and hold the precious thing in your claws. A spirit comes out of it, a wisp, twisting and turning, taking on a more Draconic form. Unfortunately, you aren't a Tribal Medium. You cannot communicate with the spirit. Your head hurts, and everything fades into darkness...

You see a pair of dark blue dragon eyes looking down at you from above. The dragon smiles, and opens its mouth to reveal rows of sharp teeth. "Come on, slow-coach, we have a mystery to solve." You fall back in shock, and trip over your long imperial tail. The dragon lands stealthily from a tree branch to reveal itself to be an almost pitch black female pearlcatcher, save for her eyes and the shiny golden cracks snaking their way through her scales. She smiles playfully. "Come on, Silhouette, we have to go and see the creature everyone is talking about. What are you waiting for?" She bounds away, with her tail curled around her golden pearl, and you make an attempt to follow her. "Tideshadow, slow down. They told us to keep away from this forest for a reason," you call out, but the pearlcatcher was already out of sight. She's too fast... you recall yourself thinking, before an earsplitting scream rang through the forest. "Tideshadow... no..." You hesitate, half-knowing that it was already to late for her. Another scream came from ahead, faded into a wail, and then was cut short. You turn tail and run, trying to distance yourself as much as possible from the creature that ended your friend's life. Before you knew it, you were swimming back to the Water Tribe's Camp.

Perhaps, in your panic, you must have taken a longer route out, but you feel exhausted. Halfway there... but why is it so heavy? You never recalled swimming to be so heavy. Perhaps it was the fact that you weren't born into the Tribe, or perhaps there was a technique you haven't learnt already. No... it can't be. Tideshadow was an amazing mentor... Tideshadow. You left her. You left her to lie there for eternity, without a proper burial, her pearl lying in the dirt of the forest, or worse, damaged by that creature. Guilt weighed heavily in your heart, overwhelming you, crushing you under it's cold depths. Before you knew it, the surface of the sea was way above your horns, and the currents were dragging you deeper and deeper down. Your head felt as if it were about to split open due to the pain, and your lungs were heavy with water.

And then there was peace... followed by more regret. Will you ever rid yourself of this?

Suddenly, everything became bright again, and you are left gasping for air as you 'coughed up' the non-existant water. The memory shard lay on the beach in front of you, as if the gem were exhausted as well. After a while, you got up, dusting the silky black sand off yourself. You stretched your aching body that felt as if you had swam the distance from Sorneith to the Tribes, and took flight, glancing down at the gem before flying over to the tribal medium's temporary den.

You show him the gem, still lying on the beach just before the shore, and he holds it. The spirit comes out again, and he casts a spell. Immediately, it begun to lengthen, and sharp edges started protruding from the once-smooth shard. It formed into a dragon skull, dripping wet with sea-water and missing its bottom jaw. Horcrux cast another spell, causing water to flow out of every hole of the skull and forming into the shape of an imperial's head. A voice- the very same voice that you had in your... extremely detailed vision, came out of the imperial's mouth:

"A dragon skull, roughly the size of a young teenage imperial was found washed up at the shore of the Obsidian Beach around month after Tideshadow and Silhouette were reported as missing. Any traces of the pearlcatcher were not found, leading to some believing that perhaps Tideshadow were still alive. However, months, even years passed by, and even the last dragon to believe this gave up the immature belief that his sister was still alive. Free me of this guilt. Find a trace of Tideshadow, anything, and give her what she deserved that I denied her. Give her a burial."

She sighed as glowing white tears ran down her watery cheeks and fell onto the beach. Horcrux nodded. "You know what to do now. Free her of guilt and regret and then she can finally embrace death to its fullest. You nodded slowly, and set off for the forest.
