Zeroki did not have an easygoing childhood. Her parents were extremely harsh, and at times cruel to her. As a result, Zeroki dreamed of leaving her clan. Her parents knew of this and made sure she was watched at all times. Zeroki acted out, making the others in her clan dislike her. Even so, they could not kick her out because she was the most beautiful out of them. She had many potential suitors who wanted to 'tame' her.

Zeroki claimed that she would never mate with anyone. Finally, the day of her escape came. There was a wedding in her clan in which her parents were largely involved with. She knew they would be distracted. After making quick work of the bodyguard her parents hired, she flew away.

She flew for days, going south until she came across a large dragon named Riot. Zeroki challenged him to a fight and was relieved when he accepted. She won by a small margin and Riot invited her into his brand-new clan. Zeroki did not know if she would be able to continue flying any further and Riot already had a mate, so she accepted.

A while later, Zeroki found herself helping Riot after his breakup with his mate. He was heartbroken so Zeroki took it upon herself in looking over the clan. Being near Riot made her realize that he was a genuine good dragon, so they started a romantic relationship.
