Gemini, the Jeweller. Gemini, the Kingmaker. Gemini, he who had whispered into the ears of the Khan, who had spoken lies and treachery and half-truths and sentenced an innocent mage to death. He whose tongue had killed Starspirit, and crushed his prophecies beneath the ice.
He has charmed his way through the ranks of Lyra's scholars and wormed his way into her mind. He seems quite charming and kind when first spoken to, and looks like a dragon who truly cares for the breaking clan leader. However, there is a glimmer in his eye, a leer to his smirk. There is a darkness that lurks inside this dragon, a corrupted flame that should not burn.
No dragon has ever seen beyond his charming exterior, and no one ever knows the madness that lurks deep down.
And when Lyra fell he turned tail and swore his loyalty to the Empress, kneeling before a throne, glimmering in all his venom and charm.
Perhaps the Khan was simply amused, or perhaps she enjoyed his twisted beauty. Either way, he remained on her court as the negotiator, the silver snake with schemes of his own.
