Though you wouldn't be able to tell by looking at the mutilated emperor now, Freyr was once a kindhearted, handsome young dragon and the childhood friend/charge of Mikaelle. However, an untimely death and a freak accident lead to his mutation into an Emperor, gaining an extra set of wings and legs.

His mind was fractured by the event, and he can barely speak or hold a conversation. It's a blessing his head has remained entirely his own, otherwise he wouldn't have his mind at all. He was captured and detained by the Abyss Seekers due to the threat he posed, but Mikaelle joined the clan to help care for him. Out of all the abominations the Abyss Seekers have contained, Freyr is the most well-cared for.
