Biography

Hatchling Protector
Hatchling Protector
"I've watched for so long. I don't even know how long it's been. I've seen stars come and fade away. I've been here longer then I can comprehend. I never desired the knowledge my Kin sought. I've floated for far too long. Till that day. That dreadful day. I watched a plant rip itself apart. So much Fighting, I turned my gaze, but at the last moment I saw her face. My eyes laid upon her fading eyes, as her eyes met mine. I was over taken by the chill that ran throughout my body, the shiver of being seen, after so many years of just being a star. I stared back at her tear filled eyes, and her voice called to me, crossing time and space itself. Her voice echoed in my mind, the first words I had heard in a millennia."
"Please... Protect the Hatchlings..."
|
"As her head fell, I couldn't hold back any longer. I had not moved, spoke, or even breathed in so long. I took in the deepest breath I think I ever had, and I fell. Fear piecing my heart, I tumbled. Faster and Faster. I could not let this rush of emotions take away from my goal. My eyes locked onto my target, my eyes focused stronger then I believed possible. This Imperial must be stopped. Kethsar, would do no more harm. He had slain her, he had slain her in cold blood. All she had done was protect the young, she had pleaded, begged and groveled. He killed her in cold blood. With his eyes on the Hatchlings, he did not see me. A Star so bright, a Shooting Star, coming for him. I screamed. I screamed louder then my ears had ever heard, louder then the suns I had seen explode. I was no fighter, I was not prepared for this. Why had I acted this way? I had seen death, betrayal, love, heartbreak, yet none of it had phased me, why now, did I care? It had to have been her eyes, and how she looked right into my heart. She asked Me. No one else. Just me. She needed help, and I had done nothing, but I could not allow this to go on. No more blood shed. I'd be the last. I smashed into that dragon with full speed. I slowed a little to stop the hatchlings from being hurt too, but my speed, and stealth was enough. I took him down in one clean blow. I had sunk my teeth into his throat, and I tore away his life. As he ebbed away laying upon the cold ground, I panted. I had become something I had always feared. I had left the stars, and I could never return. I turned my scattered gaze to the fearful Hatchlings. I had no idea how to silence their scared cries. I was never around my own kind, let alone my kind's hatchlings. My ears heard clearly, the large flapping of wings, and my frazzled being turned to the blinding light. As my eyes quickly adjusted to the light of a star, I was shocked to see it was a dragon. She was blacker then midnight, yet her aura was a blinding white light. She closed her wings, and she darkened. Her voice cracked out as her eyes landed on her face, the one who had seen me. It was then this dragon of light spoke her name.
"Isoldae..."
"Isoldae... You had been the first, to see me. See my heart. I walked to her, as her last breath teetered upon her lips. I pulled her close, and I held her. A smile crossing her lips, her eyes locked with mine, and I knew what she wanted to say. So I responded quietly to her."
"You're Welcome."
"As her life vanished, and her body grew cold, I felt tears spilling over upon my eyes. I had never had a friend, and just like that, I had lost my first. Turning I looked to the black dragon with the golden Aura. She was holding her hatchlings, who cried tears of joy to be reunited with their mother. The dragon turned her gaze to me, and she smiled brightly through her tears."
"I don't know who you are, but thank you. Thank you for saving my
children. I am Cyae, and these are my lovely hatchlings."
children. I am Cyae, and these are my lovely hatchlings."
"I watched as Cyae hugged her family close once more. I stayed quite for sometime before I nodded my head."
"I am Andromeda.
I will always protect the Hatchings, so this may never happen again."
