S C R I P T

Mekahn had abandoned his role as a king before he was ever given the crown. His desire for seclusion took him far and away from his home in the Dark Kingdom and to the haunted, cursed and swampy ruins of the fallen kingdom of Meridan. He took refuge into a cabin that stood near the heart of the ruins, near the clearing of legend where an elf was supposedly cut down by his own blade and spellbound to the mortal plane challenging any who dare attempt to remove the blade from the center of his chest. Mekahn stumbled upon this location not long after he settled in the cabin. When he realized where he was, he made it clear to the restless corpse that he wished to leave him be.

No one can say for sure why Mekahn left his home, why he wanted to avoid others so badly. It wasn't until he met Media that he finally opened up about his fears. After taking her in and nursing her back to health- as she had suffered a serious injury to her back and head- Media quickly recognized his position as a would-be king and asked what he was doing in the middle of the ruins. Mekahn had no choice to explain himself: he was not the king his father wanted him to be. The power-seeking, bloodthirsty, near-tyrannical general king their grandfathers and great-grandfathers had been. Mekahn had enough of the bloodshed. As his father was not particularly old and wasn't expected to expire any time soon at the time, Mekahn did the next best thing he could think of and fled the kingdom in the night, using his magnificent black feathers to disguise himself amongst the dark.

Mekahn felt himself to be more a bodyguard than one who required one. The day Media collasped on his doorstep was the day that told Mekahn that he was meant to protect and help, rather than kill and destroy. Media grew to trust him quickly and see him as the father she never knew. He was often asked for advice, she always came to him to talk about things that were bothering her, even listened to her odd theories and stories about other dimensions where things were very different. He found her an odd child, but loved her like a daughter or a neice.

PERSONAL LIFE

Mekahn was an acquaintance of Stardust and Necroni's when he was recruited by Moonstone and taken in as an actor. He takes his roles very seriously, and is very rarely casted as a comedic character or casted in comedies. Mekahn is a gentle dragon and very considerate of the others surrounding him. He takes as little space as possible in his presence, he keeps himself out of the way and minds his volume when he speaks. However, he is not considerate of those being disruptive- should anyone cause some sort of ruckus and harass anyone surrounding them, he is very quick in attempting to correct this behavior.

Outside of the theatre, Mekahn prefers to keep to himself, chatting with Media and going out for tea (or coffee, in her case). He would return to his room in the lair and sit down and read a long, advanced novel. He would tidy up his room and dust his collection of books clean- although it was what he had done yesterday. And the day before... and the day before that. He would straighten out his costume used for his role and hang it up neatly, setting the mask on a shelf just beside it. Then would come a bath, then perhaps a dust bath, then he would preen. All a daily routine to him. When the clan moved to the Starfall Isles, his routine was only shaken for a day. He found himself enjoying this new view out his window.

Prior to Mekahn meeting Necroni and Stardust, he was very well-known in the acting world. Though he wished to retire. Acting in plays back-to-back every day and night several hours apart was taxing. He would often forget lines or get them confused and mixed up with lines from previous roles. But being an A-list actor gave him a reputation. He would be recommended left and right, his would receive letter and proposals, contracts, promises of being paid handsomely. Mekahn declared his resignation the night Moonstone recruited him to the clan. Lapis, who recognized him welcomed him, Topaz was honored to be graced by his presence. When Mekahn discovered the theatre Lapis tried putting together, he volunteered himself. So far, he had been given one role, but had not been called to a production.
