Wavelurker

To say that Wavelurker is a part of Nucifera's clan might be an overstatement. She haunts the shore on the edge of the clan's territory, using her camouflage to perfectly hide during dawn and twilight until her prey is simply too close to escape. Nucifera encountered her when she first came to the Sea of a Thousand Currents, but only as a menacing shadow below the water, and a set of teeth she managed to outmaneuver on several occasions as they suddenly burst from the water.

Later, after Lichen and Nucifera has established their den, Wavelurker arrived early one morning holding a hatchling by the scruff of its neck. She placed the starry-coated Coatl, Astral down in front of Nucifera.

"He's interrupting my hunts. Your turn to watch him."

With that, she turned back around and was gone. She didn't bother to explain how the Coatl had ended up with her, just as she never bothered to explain why she tolerates Shallow leaving gifts for her and following her around like a stray puppy during her nightly hunts.
