Polybius
●Teacher of Necromancy●
Since childhood, Polybius was an excellent magician in the field of necromancy. He lived with his uncle Daemon away from the settlements, so that they would not be caught for practicing the then forbidden art. Their technique of necromancy was to instantly kill and subjugate the minds of creatures, although Polybius did not like such a painful death. In the end, he had no choice, and over time, he resigned himself and even felt that some deserved it. Although Polybius could only do this on such small creatures as rats, he did it quite skillfully and without hesitation. But when he came of age, Daemon decided to complicate the exercise: he brought a traveler who had lost his way in their forests. Polybius doubted, but all the same it was inevitable, because this was their art.
Without a single hesitation, he subdued that traveler, but not without complications. Daemon did not notice that the traveler was infected with Zarra, which had spread after the uprising of the necromancers. The infected were sent and destroyed into a ravine near the forest in which Polybius and Daemon lived. The infection acted a few days after infection, affecting brain cells, making a living doll out of a person, but in return, it gave great magical power, endurance and vitality. With one wave of his hand, the infected threw Daemon back so that he broke through the wall of the house with his body. Polybius, in fear, could do nothing but run away from the house, while the infected one with a terrible cry looked after him ...
The wanderings seemed endless. In the forest everything looked the same, although Polybius lived here all his life and saw these places more than once. The sounds of the river murmuring were like the sounds of salvation, and the rare bushes with berries like the most expensive dinner. About a week later, Polybius noticed how huge towers stretch in the distance. This was undoubtedly the old magician academy. It might have been the worst place to escape, but there was no more choice. Either death by starvation or imprisonment.
He walked slowly into a village under construction next to the academy. In tattered clothes, thin and dirty, Polybius immediately became the object of discussion. He came up and asked for help from the residents, but everyone just turned away. He was ready to just lie on the ground. The eyes were covered with a veil.
But the all-seeing Oracle Agnes, one of the most revered masters of the academy, noticed the boy and his magical potential. She also saw his past. Agnes reported this boy to the great magician Arkana, and she immediately sent help. Polybius lay unconscious for several days in the academy's infirmary. Arkana watched him. She knew about his art of necromancy, but she did not want to contradict the Oracle and execute the boy. Instead, she made the decision to take him under the tutelage of the academy and channel his powers for good.
From that day on, Polybius improved his art. He tried to heal people from Zarra and give them a second chance after death.
When enough time had passed, Arkana appointed him the master of necromancy, and gave under guardianship several apprentices who would then go to the royal service to help in the fight against the Zarra infection.

●Facts●
●First of all, his name from greek means "life".
●His favourite food - grilled duck with vegetables (and strawberry mousse, but don't tell anybody).
●All students in academy, except students in his class, are a little afraid of him. He has many remarks about behavior, although he is a teacher.
●He is in charge of the decorations at the academy during Halloween.
●He very loves spiders and rats.
●As you can see, his spider's name is Clementine.
●He still does not know that it was Agnes who saved him. He never asked why he was not locked in prison and pretended that everything was as it should be.
●His favorite holiday is the Day of Dreams and Desires. He loves to make wishes for Armon at that day.
●Each of his students he call like "buddy", "pal" and so on.
●Despite what happened to him in the past, he never behaves seriously. Eternal child.
●Relationships●
Polybius perceives Arkana as a foster mother, because it was she who gave him a second chance and taught compassion to others.
●Agnes
Polybius never personally saw Agnes, although he had heard of her power and wisdom, and respects her as much as the others in the academy.
●Armon
Armon often comes in Polybius's dreams, and her holiday is his favorite day. Armon played an important role in his life, she always gave Polybius hope that something more awaits him than doing illegal magic and living in a dilapidated hut in a dark forest.
●Sim
Polybius and Sim are lovers. When they are out of work, they often spend time together, although Sim's service in the academy guard prevents them from seeing as often as they would like.
●Alvart
Alvart and Polybius dislike each other. Alvart, an old magician, prefers standard elemental magic, and he still considers Polybius' necromancy illegal, despite the solidarity of Arkana and Agnes with this art. Polybius hates the old man for his constant remarks and teachings on how Polybius should do his job.
●Alayess
Polybius is neutral towards Alayess, but tries not to intersect with her, as he is allergic to her cats.
