Biography
Familiar Management; traits; clan
Kyrene was raised side-by-side with a Banescale. It was a rough upbringing, but her mother was the kindest soul who made sure both of her children would have a great life. She became competitive though. The banescale, Treant, was much larger and could fly better than anybody Kyrene has ever met. She was jealous. She can't fly nearly as well and wishes she could. Her thick fur just doesn't allow her to be nearly as agile in the air.
To keep herself able to keep up, at least a little, with Treant, she has taken a liking to keeping her fur short and well-groomed. Her fur is kept much shorter even with her permanently Summer coat. It's never cold enough in the Nature flight for a Tundra's Winter coat. Kyrene will likely never allow a Winter coat to grow.
While Treant trained to hunt and scout, Kyrene always stayed behind. She was taught how to care for young by her mother and usually worked very close with her. Emese then introduced her to the various familiars that travel with the clan. Kyrene grew close with all of them, they trusted her and she knew exactly how to keep them happy. It wasn't long until the clan appointed her the one who manages Familiar Assignment and special care. She was taught how to heal by Berry and Maeve. The two specialized in dragons, but it wasn't too hard to apply that knowledge to use on familiars.
To this day she still wishes that she could fight and fly like a scout and will occasionally help them if she can. She is but a Tundra; she's not a fighter. She looked up to Ivix, the powerful Nature Mage and wishes she could fight like he does. It's hard for a Tundra to fight, they don't have sharp claws or defensive scales, but the magic they can potentially master is powerful. Only a few can learn to fight. With the exception of Chione, the Tundra/Mirror hybrid who fights as hard as a mirror does.
Kyrene is okay with where she is though but is always trying her best to get recognized as a strong member of the clan. She can even control a Wartoad with ease, not many can do that.
