Biography
ACHIEVED - ACHIEVED
There's a timid nock on the door a "Welcome" is heard from deep with in the hut. The door opens revealing a Nocturne. He takes a few shuffled steps into the shops front room. Looking around it seems like a normal apothecary shop, dried herbs hang from the rafters shelves line the walls with potions and bundles of powders probably made from the same herbs. Nothing tells of the true nature of this shop.
After a few seconds a fae flutters into the room. They are green and auburn with green fireflies trailing them around. They fly straight into the Nocturnes face, staring deep into his eyes. "Hello!" they say cheerfully but the voice doesn't match the blankness in the eyes, "Welcome to Firefly Apothecary! How may I assist you?".
The Nocturne swallows before answering, "I, I have a friend who is ssick. Hhe often complains about a sorness in his ssttomach." After stammering through most of his answer he takes a deep breath and says more clearly, " I heard the lady of this shop would have a cure for what ails him.
The fae regards him for a long moment, never blinking. Finally they say, "One moment." and flutter behind the counter and through the polished stones hanging on strings that act as a curtain. The Nocturne stands there and nervously shifts. Looking this way and that untill finally someone emerges back from those same stones. A female Skydancer steps into the room. Her steps are completely silent and her aura is that of one who has seen to much of the world. White fireflies fill the room, appearing out of no where as if they were always there.
"Hello" she says in a voice that connot be described, sounding of nothing and everything. "My assistant tells me you have a friend that needs aid?" She arches a delicate eyebrow. "Yyeeessss" he stutters again, "I've heard you are a magnificent herbalist. Your, uh your fireflies shine brighter then the moon on eclips!" He practically shouts the last part of his sentence then quickly looks down and covers his mouth, eyes wide.
The Lady stands a little straighter looking down on him with narrowed eyes. "I know my skill is great but there is no need to shout. Thank you for complimenting my fireflies." She raises a hand and one lands on her finger. She brings it close to her face with a fond look. "They are very talented. I've trained them well." She moves her hand away and up and the firefly floats back into the air. She gestures to a side room, this one containing a solid door. "Come with me and let's discuss your friends problem."
The Nocturne walks up to the door and opens it. Inside is the fae from earlier setting up cups and a tea Kettle on the table in the middle of the room. There are two chairs around the table and a several live plants filling the room. Some on stands, others on shelves lining the walls, and even more in pots on the ground. Some looking like they cane from the very swamp they are in, others look very exotic.
The Nocturne freezes in the doorway. The reality of what he is doing fully setting in on him. The Lady walks up behind him and asks "is somthing wrong?" The fae on table looks up at him and tilts their head. He stills himself and steps forward. The Lady steps in after him and turns to close the door a slight smile graces her face as the door closes.
In a few days there is word of a death. A female Ridgeback was found dead in her home. It appears to have been a heart attack even though she was healthy. No sign of trauma, no indications of poison, and no forced intry. What a tragedy.......
Oh, some one has passed? Surely not one of my patients.
