“My body may wander, but my heart stays at home.”

━━━━━━━━━━━━ b i o ━━━━━━━━━━━━

Kilandhi has a serious problem with focusing. Born a pearlcatcher without a pearl, Kilandhi never had an identity until he met Tauga. Tauga had his own problems of identity when confronted by Kilandhi, so between the two of them they grew, relying on each other for balance.

Kilandhi is in a steady relationship with Tauga, and dislikes when people discredit his stability. He understands the need for breeding, and feels that mating and bonding are very separate things. He wants to spread his genes, something physically impossible with two male dragons, but has chosen who he loves, and plans to stick with him. He loves Tauga, though refuses to say it in front of the moody guardian.

Kilandhi cannot sit still for long, and must wander. He spends his days out in the wilds but always returns to Tauga's bed, where Tauga will meet him with a disgruntled and somewhat forceful grooming before he can settle down and tell Tauga his stories. Both can talk well into the night of their days, but mutually keep the past locked up. Neither likes to discuss the past anymore.

Kilandhi's shoulder scars ache in the cold, and will stay home during a particularly chilly day. Tauga doesn't leave the den either except to gather warm blankets and keep his mate warm. After all, the scars were kind of his fault.
Tauga understands his penchant for leaving sentences unfinished, often speaking for him when interacting with other dragons.

Kilandhi leaves his pearl with Tauga when outside, as Tauga has a closer bond with it than he does. Besides, Tauga is brilliant at keeping it clean.

━━━━━━━━━━━━ l o r e ━━━━━━━━━━━

Kilandhi ran from his past.

Born to a clan of mindless automatons, his first minutes were vicious. His brother, hatched after him, was already consuming his egg like a good pearlcatcher, but when Kilandhi looked at his, he felt sick to the stomach. He was not going to eat his egg. When the pearlcatcher mother watched his refusal, she shrieked and smacked him out of the nest, turning to her perfect son. Kilandhi watched him regurgitate egg shells all over the nest as the mother doted on her son, and took the moment to run.

No one stopped him.

The Shifting expanse was a scary place. Emerging from the underground lair, he found himself in a dusty canyon echoing with his wobbly steps. The sky was black overhead, scaring him. Crawling under a bush, he hid there and cried.

No one came to look for him.

Kilandhi grew up tough and weathered. Decorated with scraps found on fallen bodies, and walking with a staff fashioned from a petrified tree, Kilandhi learnt to fight for and defend his scraps of food. Beastclan and dragon fought him, as he made his way around the Shifting Expanse.

No one cared for him.

It went this way for a while. At day he would sleep, burrowed under the sand. At night he would follow the feeling in his throat, wherever it would take him. Some days he moved miles. Other times he moved very little. The feeling started about a week after he was born, and woke him up from its strength. He knew nothing of it but to follow it. Every time he turned away, disheartened by the endless shift of sand, the feeling would pull so intensely his stomach would turn and he'd retch up whatever he ate. As food was scarce in the desert, he learnt to not argue and follow the feeling.

He became no one.

Until he turned around a pile of rocks. Suddenly, in front of him, sat two guardians rumbling to each other in their echoing voices. One noticed him but stayed silent, gazing at him before turning his attention to the orange guardian next to him. His chest beat faster. These were the dragons he was looking for. He felt drawn to both of the dragons, but could tell the difference between the two. One was fate and the other was more... physical. Either way, he'd be interacting with them very soon.
Dawn came, and with it the guardian. Now was not the time to meet however, so Kilandhi left, covering his tracks with a sweep of his tail like he learnt earlier on.

No one disturbed them.

Kilandhi sat and waited every night, pacing every so often to keep the chill out of his muscles. He watched their supplies dwindle, and the guardian's pacing grow fretful. The orange still lay there, not moving since he got there. He was alive, but it was obvious he was sick. His wing and leg lay limp, and he grew tired easily. His time was coming. He was dying.

Finally that fateful night came, the one bards sing of late at night when the hatchlings go to bed. The guardian left, after realising his supplies were empty. Kilandhi went over to the other guardian, who told him of his plight. Yes, he was dying, but their goals were the same. Inside his chest lay Kilandhi's pearl, and in order to get to it, he had to die. A pack of fuiran were coming, fast, making the process easier, the guardian warned, but his brother needed more help. The process would be hard, yes, but he would need someone there. So he flew off to meet Tauga, the guardian whose world was about to be shattered... *sigh*

The clean version is that they, as in he and Tauga, rescued the guardian whose name he never caught, but he died of an innocent, tame cold. The pearl, fully formed and beautiful, was in his belly all along. Tauga and he fell in love and they lived happily ever after.

Of course that isn't what happened at all, but Kilandhi is in no mood to tell the proper story. If pressed, the wildclaw will sink further into his quiet shell and tell the assailant to ask Tauga. He told it better.

ETYMOLOGY - Kilandhi: When I first came up with the name, I searched on Google to see if it was a cuss word. Nothing came up. For the first time in my existance, nothing existed under 'Kilandhi'. He was truly alone. Now, as the name gains popularity, you can see it on WoW RP guilds and the occasional MMO-forum, but this dragon used to be the first thing that popped up when you typed in 'Kilandhi'.

RELATIONS -
35120022.png
Tauga
Mate
━━━━━━━ X ━━━━━━━━
Tauga is his weary, longstanding partner. The two of them have gone through adventures so wild they're regarded as myths. The attention drives the both of them insane, and so Kilandhi often has to sacrifice his time with Tauga in order to avoid the chaos.

Berry
Friend
━━━━━━━ X ━━━━━━━━
Berry understands his plight. Another dragon with wild adventures, and a partner that leads to gossip behind his back, Berry is a face that Kilandhi will never turn away from... Unless it's accompanied by a crowd of other faces.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

24050708.png
Frisk
Friend With Benefits
━━━━━━━ X ━━━━━━━━
Frisk and Kilandhi have an on-again-off-again relationship. She is more than welcome in with Tauga and Kilandhi, but her brashness and..difference of opinions makes her difficult to stomach. Tauga won't give her the time of day now, but he respects Kilandhi's choice. Kilandhi often regrets his choice in partner too, wishing he could just return to his mate.
