Biography

Laveta has always been respected, from the day she was born. Her mother, the lady of this clan, has always been respected. Sprite, Reena, Liz, and Alona had been sent off at a young age to serve under the Stormcatcher. Zonetail had left to join another lair. Laveta was the only one left. She felt lonely without her sisters and brothers. Then one day, she did something she would regret for the rest of her life.

"Mother, I wanna go join Sprite," Laveta whined to Conda when she was a hatchling.

"No honey, Sprite is doing an experiment right now," Conda nudged Laveta.

Sprite was always doing experiments, except Zonetail always got to help her. Laveta for one thought this was unfair. Her sisters and brothers always got to hang out with whoever they wanted to, but Laveta needed Conda's permission first.

"But-" Laveta started.

"No buts," Conda interrupted. "Remember the last time you wanted to help Sprite?"

Last time when Laveta had helped Sprite, Laveta had nearly blown up the entire laboratory. That time, Laveta didn't know any chemistry, but this time she was sure she knew enough.

"That was last time," Laveta whined. "Fine then. Imma go take a walk."

"Good girl," Conda smiled.

Laveta sighed and went bounding along to the mountainside. She decided to take a hike. Laveta walked for hours and hours, deeper into the mountain. Finally, when her stomach began to rumble, she looked around her. Rock surrounded her, and she was clearly lost.

"Ma?" Laveta called. "Pa?"

Suddenly, a huge dragon leaped out in front of her, shaking the earth.

"Who are you?" Laveta backed away.

"I am the Earthshaker," the huge dragon bowed. "I have come to help you home."

Laveta followed as the Earthshaker led her out. When they were out again, the deep rumbling of the Earthshaker's voice came again.

"Young hatchling, you will from this day represent me for your lair," bounding away, leaving Laveta speechless. She had never wanted to represent anyone. She wanted to represent herself. Conda would be more protective of her than ever.
