Skystrike

Her mother, Quickwing (@packook), died in a Circus murder days before she hatched so her father, Frost, had to bring her and her siblings up himself. With a darker colour resemblance but identical red striped wings, those of her clan commonly tell her she looks like her mother.

Awed upon hearing the vivid legacy of Quickwing’s unrivaled speed, skill and love of flying, Skystrike was determined to follow her footsteps and honour her family lineage of elite warriors/protectors in her new clan. However, as an inept flyer, she had to struggle through the basic hurdles first.

Unwavering in her goal and to the surprise of her dubious spectators, her skills rapidly improved and was soon anointed as the clan's air scout. A significant step towards her goal, she gets frustrated when she's not improving as fast as she would like to, impatient to become the ultimate best she can be.
Her most fierce attack involves climbing hundreds of feet and rocketing back down, a streamline bullet plucking her prey from midair or smashing opponents out of the sky.

She dreams of matching or even exceeding her mother’s abilities as a way of immortalizing her within herself, hoping to fill the little gap in Skystrike’s heart where Quickwing should have been.


Upon hearing rumours of the Faerie Forest and its legendary gift of life, Skystrike was eager to visit and hoped to find truth in the legend. As it happened, she became reunited with her sister, Slick, who had also joined the bandwagon of hopefuls, intending to revive their mother with the gift as Skystrike had thought of doing.

As the journey continued, it was quickly apparent that a team of dragons were willing to kill to get their hands on the gift. The once beautiful forest now a sinister stage for murder, the travellers were forced to kill or be killed, attempting to weed out the unforgiven that had turned against the innocent in hopes of reaching the end alive at all.

As the pressure to stay alive increased, Skystrike secretly joined forces with both her sister and newfound friend, Calcimer, to use their bestowed powers to eliminate the killers.
Although she believed her acts of killing were justified, the rules of the forest made it clear that any form of murder between travellers was unjust.

With Skystrike's powers stripped and deemed an unforgiven against her will, she feared for her life as those who she once protected now, unknowing to who exactly had switched sides, sought her out.

Eventually confiding in her sister alone after the guilt was too much to hold in, her luck ran dry as a fellow traveller, who had been gifted her previous Witch Doctor powers, killed her in the same way she had murdered her victims before.
Crying with the last of her breaths, she begged fate to let her sister not waste the gift on her but to bring their mother back instead.

Skystrike was unaware that her sister never made it to the end alive.


With FuHao's abilities to understand the supernatural, he found Skystrike in a near-death state at the edge of Starwood Strand.
Bringing her back to the clan and trapped in a coma for days, she eventually healed up and awoke, only to babble and cry hysterically, the trauma taking its toll for the next day or so.

Eventually calmed to coherency, she spilled her story to a baffled Avery between sobs, both sympathising and worried about her ordeal being scarily similar to what he had thought was a dream of his own.

With a different perspective to life, she still searches for her sister, hoping with an aching heart that Slick had made it out alive too.
