═══════════════════════════════════════════ ECLIPSE ; The glassy stonework beast -- She/Her ═══════════════════════════════════════════ For many nights and days the tired and unmoved rock sat in this place. For as long as her mind could recall, she had been here. It was near a cliff, a nice place to look out at and sigh as she watched and waited. what for? She has no idea. But something deep inside told it she must wait. It was like a thumping that hit her right in her chest. Over and over it pounded, reminding her of the task she would no doubt be assigned any day now. As the world continued on without any sign of stop, a small feeling of doubt began to stir in her. Why was it taking so long? What could it possibly be? Days turned to seasons and soon to years. On and on, time stretched on out in front of her into nothingness, somehow mundane and terrible all in the same breath. Yet, one day, something finally finally. Below her perch, she watched as Serthis and a clan of plague dragons fight. These random attacks of violence weren't all that uncommon, but it was a way to pass the time, so she saw no reason not to watch it on as it continued. That was until a deep inky black overtook the sky and both parties of creatures froze. Gazing up, they were left to stare at a sky in which the sun seemingly just vanished. Beast and dragon alike both took this as a bad sign and took their leaves and once again, leaving her alone with her thoughts. Suddenly, the ground below her shook with a mighty rage the likes of with she has never felt before. Her stone went tumbling down the cliff side, other debris hitting her and breaking her apart as she fell. As she finally slowed, however, it became clear that she was no longer a rock, but a dragon. This news on it's own would be enough to shake up most, but the event was not yet over. A voice that felt like 3 all yelling begin to shake in her mind. ECLIPSE. The voice said, IT IS OUR BLESSING THAT YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN FORM. DO NOT FORGET THIS. FOR NOW, WE REQUIRE YOUR HELP IN TURN. A DEEP EVIL IS COMING. THERE IS NO TIME TO PREPARE AND EVEN LESS TO LEARN. BUT THIS IS YOUR CALLING. DO NOT FAIL US, CHILD. And with that, she was alone. | x |
