Dysmas, a dancer. The son of nobody important, who loves regardless of gender, who also promised never to love again.
Dysmas, who is in love with the gorgeous Prince. Eos would be a lovely partner, and there was nothing wrong with him being a male. He could fall in love with men.
But this meant that he was in love with the Prince.
Eos is humble, kind, a little naive, but endearing overall. Dysmas notices him, more than any other partygoer, when he sneaks into the palace for warmth and food. He watches the way Eos subtly breaks tradition, and goes against his parent's strict regime. Eos is loved by the people, rather than feared. Dysmas can see his questioning gaze, the inquiries that lay beneath his eyes. He wishes they could steal away and have all the time in the world to chat and dance together.
