Catalyst

A mysterious wanderer who settled in the den. Catalyst has traveled far, raised many hatchlings, and killed numerous creatures. She does not speak of her past much, but it is known that she was born in the Foxfire Bramble and is adorned with jewelry she obtained from her travels. Hester suspects that she was an assassin for a clan in the Tangled Wood, but the animosity between him and Catalyst is well known, so most in the clan dismiss the idea as ludicrous.

When Catalyst arrived in the clan, she brought very few belongings, all of which were treasures she had collected. Some were finery crafted out of rare metals and jewels, others were blades forged from strong steel, and yet others were poisons brewed from deadly plants and bottled in thick glass vials. She also brought a set of plants from which she harvested ingredients for her poisons. When Bark was born, Catalyst found that her plants, had a new admirer. She tutored Bark in the proper care and handling of the various vines and berry bushes she'd brought from the Foxfire Bramble. When Bark grew up, she pilfered a set of cuttings and seeds from Catalyst's plants. Although Catalyst is aware of the source of Bark's garden, she hasn't seen a reason to confront her.
