Biography

Quote:
The expression that Clearnote considered his brother with was not kind in the least, his head bowed, horns raised as his fans expanded. "For everything we have stood for, since bygone times," he growled, "you throw it all away for a female mirror? For a child of Rot? Have you gone insane, my Brother!?"
Farsong stood his ground. Unlike his sibling, his fans were not spread, nor did he bow his head. Instead, his sangria eyes were quiet, his attitude simple and demure. "I have not. I don't find it strange, to want to be with her."
Clearnote choked on a snarl, his teeth gnashing, but aborted an attempt to strike when a wing placed itself in front of him. His wide, plum eyes, filled with confusion, looked up at their leader, Hymnos, aghast.
Hymnos looked at Farsong. "She is your Searched For, your Charge...isn't she," he spoke, not bothering to pose it as a question. His aged eyes showed a measure of acceptance, if a bit mist as he considered his clan member, and former protege. Farsong folded his wings against himself, his face pinched.
"...If thinking that way brings you relief," he said. Sighing, he admitted, "It goes beyond that, Hymnos. A Search can include many things, from individuals to places...Perhaps my Search brought me to Tehlahlo, but something else urges me to stay."
Hymnos nodded, but Clearnote only barked, "What could possibly make it worthwhile to follow a brat like her!?"
Farsong replied calmly, "Our love makes it worthwhile. For all that comfort I have ever known or could, I would sooner abandon it to follow her. She is my Heart and my Happiness, as I am hers. If you fail to understand something as simple as that, my Brother, than I am afraid our time apart has made us as different strangers than we first realized."

If you fail to understand something as simple as that, my Brother, than I am afraid our time apart has made us as different strangers than we first realized."
Farsong had been more than honest when he said those words. Shortly after their fateful encounter in the Foxfire Bramble and their miraculous survival against her former clan, a mysterious desire kept him by her side, to investigate its pull towards the other. Perhaps, from the get-go, it had been pity for a lost, injured dragon. That pity could have allowed him to excuse her presence beforehand; his patience was only so long, given the annoyance she proved to be in the beginning.
But soon, it became a nameless bond that only few understand, much less among the Guardian race. Ancestors of the past would have called it the Search's End, in reference to the instinctual need that all Guardians possess to find the person, item or land they wish to keep safe. Yet Farsong was also sure it was something different that kept him tethered to her, this orphan dragon he was utterly fascinated by.
Traveling with her deep into the lands of the Shadowbinder, he made his home with Telahlo, in hopes that they might found a clan that will not only honor the legacies of his ancestors, but push forward to the future that is cloaked in mystery, mischief aglow in their eyes... He could never anticipate how the pieces fall into place, and what is done in his time bears so much consequence in the future!
