"I absolutely adore bee as a gene. I don't think I say that often enough in these reviews, to be quite honest. And when I see it used with colors like Wine? Yes please give me ten more dragons with it. While I'm admittedly biased towards the deeper, hot pink side of the pink spectrum anyway, an XYY with those pretty metallic hot pinks really feels like a pretty good example for them being crowned king over the pastels. Opal is also just one of the best tertiary choices to go with bee anyway, it always feels like it matches up with bee's sharp edges in a way that really works. I think what I'm most surprised with about this guy, though, is that he has Ice as a primary color. I don't really see dragons with color combos like this, and while I'm sure they're not uncommon, I think the fact that he has no outfit and a gorgeous accent really makes the colors take center stage. This guy is probably my favorite in this particular review; I like him way more than I remembered since I skipped him over for Nafadel in the last review lol"

"You'll never hear me say that I don't love the haunting amber set, and I have to say, even though he's wearing nothing but it, I do most definitely enjoy the way it looks with this skin. Cry/fac isn't a gene combo I'd expect for a look like this, but he pulls it off surprisingly well! I remember when crystal and facet were super popular with everything, but even then I feel like the more natural-looking genes were probably more widely used when it came to a dragon trying to give off the plague spooky vibe aesthetic, so this is a nice change of pace. I think the skin complements the outfit very well and leaves just enough of the reds and pinks showing but helps the browns of the NOTN set feel more cohesive. This is just a well-polished pearlcatcher guy."

"Obsidian is one of the top ten XXX colors. I'm pretty sure that's not at all in dispute, but I figure it should be on record that I wholeheartedly agree with that sentiment, and dragons like this lovely veil of yours are great examples of why it works. The red accent colors are what make it a real hit, and while I don't have any veilspuns myself and haven't explored all of their new genes as in-depth as I'd like to, this kind of feels like their equivalent of the lionfish/noxtide combo that the modern breeds use that also looks nice and spooky with XXX obsidian. Dragons like this just give off that air of danger and darkness and it's a vibe I really enjoy. With the lore veils have, I can imagine the ones with bright, dangerous colors like this being more highly feared than their counterparts; the red just screams danger. I'm definitely on board with the spooky veilspun train, 10/10."
