Tamale

Tamale is the quiet, optimistic, and warm Chieftess of the Fjaran Clan. She spends much of her days tending to the eggs and hatchlings, comforting them when their parents are hunting or patrolling the borders.

Her kind, gentle nature attracted the attention of Prince Aquas, and they were soon secretly official. Tamale longed for children of her own but was afraid of what Maelstrom would do. After being comforted by Fjara, the pair decided to try. Tamale produced one egg, but the strain it took weakened her significantly, and so the two decided it was too risky to try again.
After some time, however, Tamale grew haunted by her own empty nest and begged the deities to let her have another chance. Though incredibly hesitant, Aquas and Tamale tried again, and to their delight, Tamale has since nested with no further complications.

With her husband Aquas' ascension to the throne, Tamale has been named as the clan's new chieftess, and has taken on the role. She still spends a lot of time in her old task of tending to the nursery in between her royal duties, as it gives her something to do that makes her feel more like she's a part of things.
