Quasar

Quasar was one of many misfits in GustClan. A strange cross between a magically sensitive entity, and a mechanical creature, voi never quite seemed to fit in there. Fascinated by even the smallest amount of knowledge to be gained, but frequently breaking down from too much magic energy, but needing to constantly watch the stars to draw necessary power from them, made them a confusing creature to be around.

Void really only had one friend, a fellow magical entity named Maur. They both hailed from beyond this realm, and had found temporary shelter here. Though, if Messenger’s warnings were to be believed, that shelter wouldn’t last for much longer. It spoke of times of sickness and death, of hatred and rebellion, yet no one seemed to listen.

Until it was too late. Once the sickness came, Quasar and Maur fled, knowing there was nothing they could do. They followed the stars and voids navigation system, until they ended up in Waterdeep. Shortly after arriving, they parted ways, for fear of drawing unwanted attention to themselves, but they chose to remain in contact through letters.

Seeking a place to shelter in for a little while, Quasar somehow ended up at the Crestflame Academy. Drawn there by all the magical energy surrounding it, voi bumped into a caring healer named Lamia. Voi asked her for a place to stay, and she suggested the Temple of Elistraee.

It was there that Quasar began to learn of the history and legends of Waterdeep. Fascinated and intrigued by the city’s magic, voi desired to stay and learn. Voi returned to Lamia, to thank her for showing void kindness, yet Quasar found voidself unwilling to leave her comforting presence.

One afternoon together turned into many meals shared together, and numerous stories exchanged over tea in bookstores. Lamia’s determination and compassion made Quasar feel safe around her, and voi wanted to protect her from the dangers voi’d seen in the world. Sometime later, she confessed her love for void, and Quasar was delighted that she felt the same was as voi did.

The two of them were happy together. Lamia worked as a healer at the Academy, and Quasar repaired small mechanical objects in the marketplace. They lived a quiet and modest life together, finally able to be safe.
