Proffen's real name is Alessandro, but he can't remember that anymore. His nickname means "the pro". He is a member of a team of assassins, and thinks he is second in command, although this has been disputed. No one is safe from his sarcastic comments. He loves to play pranks, and one time he tricked his leader into saying he was senile in front of a group of visiting dragons.

He is extremely proud of his moustache, and will punch anyone who touches it. Half of the moustache has been pulled off on several occasions, but it has always grown back mysteriously fast. Proffen also believes it has magical sensing powers.

As a hatchling, Proffen had a freak skateboarding accident involving some yellow-clad dragons, which caused his pearl to break. He replaced it with a fake one, but is sensitive about the issue. He is the brother of Arturo, member of The AbsoLutes, who he thinks is the less attractive one of the two.
