Bio and Lore
Pyrite's primary role as an assassin is a bizarre choice. She loves big targets, but always weighs her risks when taking on a task. Her methods are a tad unorthodox as well, since she prefers to simply blend in with a crowd rather than hide in the shadows waiting for her chance. She knows how to dress the part regardless of the occasion, though she prefers more luxurious gatherings. Her assassinations normally boil down to two options: poison or a concentrated beam of light to the skull or chest. Pyrite gets her name and title from her personality. She is a kind and endearing dragon when first impressions are made. She always holds an air of elegance about her, with a gentle touch and a calm voice that never seems to raise, even when she is clearly frustrated. This is all an act. In fact, Pyrite is a greedy, selfish dragon, putting up and mastering her façade to put off others and get closer to her targets. She holds no morals or ethics when it comes to her work, willing to do anything and go the extra mile if it means a bit more treasure for her hoard. The Gilded Inn was a clan full of wealth that Pyrite was born into. Known for their high-end rooms and special care personalizing the rooms they held for rent, the inn attracted primarily wealthy dragons. She grew up surrounded by wealth and luxury, only to have it taken from her when the inn was attacked and ransacked by a rival clan, envious of their success. Her hind leg was broken in the attack, and never had a chance to properly heal until it was too late, leaving her with a limp. Since losing everything, her heart turned cold, and she now does anything to attain and hold wealth so that those that destroy such things will never have the chance. Pyrite is enamored by the entity possessing Almost. As greedy and selfish as her, albeit far more outwardly cruel, it has taken a liking to the Imperial as well. The two sometimes work together on tasks, splitting the payout between each other. While their goals may be different, there's no hiding their love of gold and all things luxurious. |
