Murk is softspoken and reserved, preferring to immerse himself in his work than to socialize or interact much with the outside world. He handles much of the construction work for the Abyss Seekers, building dens as well as carving out containment areas for the lower-level horrors they capture. He's sturdy and strong, but really isn't much of a fighter unless he has to be.

He was born in the Tangled Wood to a pair of seekers sent out by the main collective of Gaolers. Because of this, as a very young hatchling, he was actually able to see more of Sornieth than most Gaols would. Though he rarely goes far from the Abyss camp, he secretly dreams about exploring the world again as an adult. It is because of this that he became very close with Breneigan, as she would bring back stories of the rest of the continent when returning from missions. He has a pretty sizeable crush on her, and because he lacks the social skills to properly express it, he instead does her little favors and has started collecting small gifts for her.
