The image of a mother bear and her cubs is an important symbol to the Bear Pack and its warriors. However, rarely is it seen within the pack. No emblem, carving, craft, or polished metal that bears the insignia of [ ] places the expected balls of ragged fur at Her side. The confusion of those unfamiliar with the culture is only furthered by the toys whittled from wood for the children. Small mother bears watch over the little painted stubs meant to be their children. Yet [ ] is given no such blessing. For many this only reinforces the harsher and crueler nature of the Pack, despite protest from the other packs about them and their namesake god.

To those residing in the lower desert, the opinions of strangers matter little, just as the sleeping bear cares not for the fools that stumble in and flee from her cave. Even the smallest of the children understand the nature of their Mother. She needs none at Her side because they are Her cubs. And She, their Mother. The One that walks the Sands needs only Her own beside Her. Never another.
