?ＡＳ?ＵＥ fire representative Basque serves as the Fire Representative for the Unchanging Sands, having taken up the role from its previous owner when he decided to join the ranks of the Earthshaker. She welcomes her position, as it means she gets to spend time with dragons from all walks of life, something most Fire clans don't normally do. Basque spends most of her time speaking with retirees, seeking to make their post-work lives more comfortable in their old age, as she knows how tirelessly everyone has worked from the moment they were able to. Of course, after she caught wind of what was occurring back home in the Ashfall Waste, what with the enormous rebellion that was certain to evolve to full-scale civil warfare, Basque vowed to focus her lawmaking on defending labor rights and the safety of their workforce - economically, mentally, and physically. Together with Blevinia, she sought to make this a reality, both to lower the odds of a similar rebellion occurring within her own clan and to make sure that those who joined for economic opportunities were guaranteed those opportunities they came for in the first place. |

It was a delicate situation to be certain, and as the weeks droned on, she rifled through the multitude of scrolls sent by eager smithies hungry to prove their skills and make themselves known - but one letter stood out from the rest. It was not just a plea for work, but one for asylum, safety from the war that ravaged her home. The dragon who wrote her must have been in tears; there were stains dappling the page, and whether they were of pain or of determination, Basque could not tell. But they were true.
