A descendant of a freak alchemical accident that resulted in the birth and development of Honey dragons, Mead once called the light clan his home where he would use the strange properties of his biology to make delicious- if not somewhat strange in concept- delicacies for his fellow dragons.

However, when members of the beastclans, namely the Serthis that inhabited the southern regions of the Sunbeam ruins which he called home, discovered potent and dangerous usages for this magically imbued substances, Mead was forced to flee as to not be taken captive by vicious Serthis alchemists. Along with Beeswax, a Nocturne Honey dragon hailing from the Ashfall Waste that was also seeking protection from the beasts, Mead found himself under the protection of the Tidelord, who in return for fostering his kind with protection expects Mead and his progeny to dedicate themselves to his service.

In addition, the Tidelord designated that the Pollinators, an insectoid specie of dragon that also called the Sea of a Thousand Currents home and protectors of the Floral dragons, become the protectors of Mead and his progeny. Here, Mead met his partner, a Coatl butterfly named Elefenanna who's dull yellow colorscheme made her less desirable to the Coatl butterflies of her homeland, and together they founded The Hive, an ever-growing lair of these unusual dragon species protected by the deep waters of the Tidelord's domain.
