Ossium

Perhaps it was the light from the 1000 candles Lumenthrax had slowly collected and lit that drew his attention. Or perhaps it was the conspicuous traffic of Atium as she traversed the nooks and crannies of the wilderness with Pig in search of herbs. In later years, Hollow would claim it must have been construction noise; the sound of her claws and hammers raking across stone for hours on end could carry miles, she'd say. Whatever the reason, like some miracle, Brightmyrtle awoke one morning to find a fourth hatchling up against her in the nest. She counted once, then twice, and then three times; wondering if perhaps her morning haze was playing tricks on her. But no, there in the nest there lay a tiny wyrmling, clutching a shimmering pearl in one claw, his long tail intertwined with Wicc's in sleep.

There was plenty of food to go around, and so he stayed. Hollow named him Ossium and said she had a feeling he was meant for something strange. As portentous as his arrival seemed to be, nobody doubted the old wyrm was right.
