Salazar

Exiled cult leader. Close to Nessa.

The chosen leader of a small, secluded Plague clan. Was brought up from a young age with the idea that he would herald the return of the Plaguebringer and would be her avatar of disease. His whole life his parents and clanmates prepared him for this purpose and made him believe he was to become a divine champion. But when the big day came and passed without the prophesied happenings, Salazar's followers turned against him. He only managed to escape thanks to Nessa, the one follower who still believes in him. The pair fled their clan, the wastelands and finally the mainland to avoid retribution. They now reside at Morse's keep, where Nessa tries to keep Salazar's spirits up and rationalise the past events, while the bogsneak confronts his upbringing and identity.

The two keep to themselves. While Nessa means well, her efforts to convince Salazar that he's still the Plaguebringer's chosen one only cast him deeper into self doubt and confusion. Salazar has retreated to the deeper parts of the Keep, where he dwells in his misery. He's still a formidable dragon to see, but his glory is all show.
