Skurdur

"I stand here because I was needed, and I will continue to stand here until that need is no longer in this land. I go wherever my beloved goes, even if it leads to the depths of death itself."

Skurdur is the mate of Fjara and the male leader of the clan.

While physically intimidating and a powerful fighter, he's actually very gentle and quiet at heart.
As a guardian, he was wandering the world in search of his designated charge that he must protect, and encountered Fjara while resting in an unclaimed piece of territory. It didn't take a genius for him to quickly figure out that she was his charge, and he hasn't left her side since. He loves his "Little Tidepool" with all he has.

His primary task is maintaining order by organizing hunting and fishing parties and enforcing the rules of the clan where they are being ignored. Though everyone knows that he means no harm to them, nobody wants to know what would happen if they got him truly angry.

His eldest son, Maelstrom, has been bothering him as of late. His rude and disrespectful attitude towards others is no doubt symptoms of an inflated ego, and Skurdur worries that he will not be a suitable leader at this time.

After many years of guiding the clan, Skurdur and his mate have stepped down and given the clan over to their second son, Aquas. Skurdur remains somewhat in charge of the patrols and hunting expeditions, but is enjoying his retirement.
