Born to Razor and Arson, right away there was a sense of rising unease about Asteria from the moment they hatched. They disliked their siblings right away, and would even go as far as to bite or claw them with seemingly no provocation in the slightest. This lead both their siblings and their father to leave the clan and take flight, going to serve the Shadowbinder's efforts. Yet, this only made their situation worse, as due to a lack of control, Asteria began to take a more negative outlook on those who she had to spend her time with in the lair. It culminated in the arson of a lairmate's nest while they were not present, and the subsequent chaos that ensued due to the fire was the perfect time to rush in and put the flames out with their tail. The glorification of being regarded as a hero by the nest's mother was enough to send her on a further power trip, and the longer that Asteria stayed in the lair, the more disasters seemed to occur. Yet every time, the Nocturne seemed to save the day, which aroused suspicion amongst the rest of the lair. |

Confronting them would not be a wise idea, so while Asteria was not in the lair, the other dragons would congregate and discuss the rumors, having a deep sense of unease and also a feeling of this being the truth. Yet despite this,nobody dared challenge the Nocturne out of fear of their nests being harmed, or worse, being attacked. Not a word about their suspicions was uttered to them, and Asteria remains unaware to this day of the others' anger and suspicion. |
This only furthered Asteria's sense of power, and they developed a love for organized chaos and witnessing disasters; be it done by them or done by other means. Some nests would never hatch, or have shattered shells with the hatchlings forced to live prematurely before they were meant to be hatched. It broke the hearts of their mothers, and the premature hatchlings would not make it out alive in most cases, and their spirits would pass on to Shadowbinder's gentle claws. Yet, there was nothing that could be done, until they would finally dare confront Asteria. |

Eventually, it broke out into a violent civil war, which Asteria participated in as chaos was unleashed upon the lair, and the Nocturne would become leader through sheer force.
