"She stood there majestically, her eyes sparkled like sapphires as she watched over all the other clan mates go about their day."

Or at least that is how she envisioned herself in her mind.

Her eyes, are indeed blue, lacked the sparkle and were more of the color of an old pair of faded blue jeans instead of dazzling sapphires.

Her hair was not maintained, it had grown for so long, the strands were full of split ends that desperately needing trimmed. She had colored it herself once or twice, desperately trying to achieve the beautiful natural shade of red that she desired.

Her face was full of blemishes and old acne scars; there are some stray whiskers that she hadn't plucked for a while. For she didn't have the energy nor the care.

On good days, she can appreciate her natural beauty. She does have pretty eyes and a nice smile.

But most other days, it is hard not to feel the envy of the beautiful, graceful, and thin Skydancers that she is surrounded by. She feels like no matter how hard she tries, she'll never be able to look like them, she'll always have her flabby stomach and her stubby legs.

She is strong, of course, but that is never enough.

Her heart is in the right place, she is always trying to encourage everyone else to do their best, even though it is hard for her to believe in her own advice.
