 "My life has been a tapestry of rich and royal hue, an everlasting vision of the ever changing view." Too much. Khione was struck, from the first time she cracked shell, by how much there was to see in the world. It took a little while to understand that others didn’t see things the way she did. Because she and her brother were so continuously barraged to report what they saw, Khione wasn’t sure exactly how or why she was seeing the things that were always passing in front of her eyes. By the time she realized what she was seeing, Khione had had enough. No longer did she want to share her visions with the others in the clan. Because what she was seeing - with all her gloriously clear eyes - were the connections between dragons and creatures and the earth. Like a woven tapestry of infinite detail, the coatl figured out that she could influence relationships between living things if she concentrated hard enough on the ties that bound them together.

Khione knew that, if the others truly understood what she could do, she would be locked away forever and be forced into service for values she wasn’t even sure she believed. It was almost with desperation that she cast her eyes on all the threads around her looking for a way out.
When she and her brother finally escaped, Khione was so grateful to not be in the nest of tangled intensity that she was nearly giddy at being able to just see the gentle, flowing tapestry of the natural world. The threads between the two siblings one day developed a tiny, glowing strand that led off into a remote destination. Curious, Khione and her brother followed it. When they found the sheltered sands of Chaotic Daydreams, Khione could see all the intricate lines between the others already there. And, while somewhat wild and unusual in design, the whole tapestry of the area and dragons was beautiful and full of joy and wonder. It was that vision, and the welcome they were afforded, that let the wary pair relax and decide to stay. It is a decision that neither of them have regretted for a moment. Here, Khione can practice the way she sees and what she can manipulate - always, of course, on her own conscience and with the permission of others. It’s a life they hardly dared believe was possible, and one they aren’t going to give up any time soon.
