Hefuen

Trapped far, far beneath the ice of the Southern Icefield, the ancient statue lay frozen. A perfect preservation of a time long forgotten. Created by the gaolers as a tribute to the Icewarden, thousands of these stone creations were meticulously sculpted from the cold rock, delicately infused with rich minerals and gemstones. Over time, as the gaolers locked themselves away from the rest of Sornieth, these grand gestures of venerance were slowly enveloped in the ice that eventually reclaims all things in the Icefields. The ice permeated the stone, cracking it apart and leaving nothing but the frozen, scattered remains of what once was. All except one.

As the ice changed and melted and reformed during those next centuries, this single reminder of the past rose from the depths of the earth. As Seuin scoured the desolate land for anything useful, she found him. Just a curious wing tip of an old statue, but she saw him, and she set to work. Using her fruits of knowledge she broke through, and drug out the magnificent sculpture. Towering far above her, she gasped in admiration. It was incredible craftsmanship, undeniably. She was giddy with glee as she moved the enormous form back to her small lair, eager to begin her work.

Weeks passed with with no discernible changes, but to the skilled eye a beautiful transformation was underway. The beast's wings slowly moved to a less stiff position, it's peridot eyes seemed to gleam more than before- even its powerful tail began to show a more lively weight. As the weeks forged on into months, Seiun began the final stage of her plan for the statue. With the help of Banshee's pristine sight of life, she spread an admittedly disgusting slime over the figure. When she was done, the goo began to warp and change, and finally began to fuse with the rock. Satisfied with her work, she left to sleep for the night.

The muck enveloping the creature was becoming more solidified now, as it dried it became more and more transparent. Soon, every carapace was filled with the stuff, and its work was complete.

The beast ripped through its bindings and shards of the now completely solid muck scattered across the ground.

And thus, Hefuen was brought into existence. Towering and magnificent, the golem began his life centeries after his creation with Seiun and The Shard by his mighty side.
