Events catapult him out of his familiar life and lead him on to freedom and rebellion.

Markus is the known leader of the androids. To seek freedom for his own kind, he must lead them on the path to becoming "human". This is his goal now as a leader; to lead them into the light, to where they will be free. To make them human, when they are indeed, not.

He only wants the parting from androids and humans to seal up; to make humans realize that androids are just like them
