Head Lair Guard

Tetsu is the only other dragon besides Winterheart, Cocoafur, and Moonflight to have ever walked into a Coliseum battle at the beginning of the clan's history. She is strong and capable, and keeps a rigid, strict attitude when commanding the rest of the Lair Guards. She is ice in stature and ice at heart.

Moonflight was good friends with Tetsu when the clan was first founded and just learning to spread its wings. They've shared Coliseum battles and their memories of it. Tetsu was closest to him, but not close enough to be mates. She considered him her best and only friend; Winterheart and Cocoafur were only her superiors.

After Moonflight pursued healing, he and Tetsu gradually grew apart, and they didn't get to see each other as often, especially when Tetsu was appointed as Head Guard by Moonflight's suggestion. She knew he only wanted the best for his old friend, but by doing so the two became far apart. Tetsu was only out in the far reaches of the Clan's territory, patrolling the borders and commanding the rest of the Guards, while the other was often away at the Coliseum, the only efficient healer on the team.

Tetsu was mysteriously invited by Winterheart to be trained privately, to "further hone [her] skills." She was brought back to the Coliseum, the place where every memory of her fighting alongside Moonflight rushed back to her. She was so overwhelmed by nagging nostalgia that she could barely focus on the battles ahead of her, and didn't notice how her leader's fighting style had changed...

The Nocturne maintains her stiff guard's posture as she speaks. A deep, stern, slightly raspy voice leaves from her jaws. "The Coliseum is a scary place for beginners. I laugh at this now, but back then, it was gruesome." She made a small snort. "A lot of my warriors tell me that I could have practically been born in war. Which makes no sense, all of us were born in war with the dominance battles and whatnot. Warriors aren't born, they're raised." She twitches her tail. "I'd say my very first battle was the toughest. I was confused, Cocoafur was confused, Winterheart was shouting orders I didn't understand. We were getting struck right and left, and I probably lost a good amount of my scales to the monsters. We weren't hurt too badly, but we were scared to absolute zero and back and rather surprised that we made it out alive. But we didn't flee afterwards, no, we just kept going like the idiots we were."
Tetsu then chuckles, a rare sound to ever be heard out of the Head Guard. "I was quite a weakling back then. Now I'm respected as a properly trained warrior under the strong leadership of Winterheart." She shrugs. "It's crazy how far warriors can progress after a tough battle, no?"

One of the oldest dragons I have in terms of clan history. She's one of the first dragons I bought, alongside Moonflight, Kaas, and Dawn. I don't know in which order though XD it was a while ago.
Needless to say, she's one of my most treasured dragons as she's been with me since the beginning. I've always seen her as an old cranky lady who likes to get things done and is very strict, but has a softer side she doesn't show often, if at all. In fact I think I've only written her as being nice like. once? Twice?
