╔═Status════════════════════════════╗
Sin, the Blood Envoy, is the current head of the Peace Crest. He inherited his teachers' wits and elegance but he holds the loyal but ruthless heart that he inherited from his shade-touched father. His innocent facade and amicable reputation stood out among the students of Hades due to the extreme nature of their respective behaviours and due to his seeming flexibility. Seeing his ability and the relative ease with which he was to communicate with, in comparison to the other students made it so that the numerous clans started calling him the Envoy of Hades. Blood was added when the world came to know his status as a peaceblood. They never realized that the word is far more appropriate for him than expected. His peaceful visage hides a nature of the same cloth as that of the more insane of Hades’s students. Except he holds the patience and means that the others’ simply didn’t care for. He is willing to forgo the personal satisfaction of revenge in pursuit of the blood of those who oppose the 6 Crests of Hades.

╔══════════════════════════Familiar═╗
When Blood Envoy’s parents were still by his side, they had companions, merfolk. This pair of merfolk were the kindest pair for they even accepted shade-touched company. Their child grew up with the younger Blood Envoy as if siblings before he was taken to the council of merfolk as a candidate to be one of the great searchers who’s life goal would be to search for the lost deity of the Water Flight. The young man became an exceptional ambassador among his peers. Many of the most devout dragons of the Tidelord offered the merman to be his partner in the search but he rejected them. Eventually the council asked him the reason to which he constantly rejected the believers. His reply was he had picked a shade-touched. He was instantly put away for such blasphemy, that is until Sin came to the council to seek the merman. At first, the council was unwilling but after some threats from Terror, they were begrudging but had to release him or feel pain.

╔═Lore══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗
“Guards, Eliminate that creature.” the first words the young shade-touched could ever understand. In a tone of voice, all shade-touched found all too familiar.

“Father, he is my son and your grandson.” A tone of voice that was caring and warm

“No, he is the child of a monster who has brainwashed you. Come here my child.” came the first voice

“M’Lord, that is no longer your daughter. She has been tainted. I believe it best to kill her miscreant and lock her in the deepest prisons of our clans in hopes that the deity is not displeased.” Even the inexperienced infant could detect fanaticism. He could hear the rattling of armour and then there was silence.

“Touch her or him, and I will show you exactly why the shade-touched are feared across Sornieth.” another more overbearing voice came along.

“Get away beast or I will smite you.” the priest rattled in obvious fright.

“I have not given in to the Shade, therefore the deities will be reluctant to smite me. Besides I only fear them, not you measly insect.” the overbearing voice mocked. “I am protecting my family while you threaten it, so you should count your blessings that your deity hasn’t struck YOU down.”

“Blasphemy, how dare a shade-touched speculate about the thinking of the deities.” his rage apparently overpowered his fear.

“Shut up.” the environment was suddenly comfortable for the hatchling. “We came here today, despite my protests because my mate wanted to show her father his eldest grandson. He is shade-touched like me, but like me he too will fight against it. But unlike me, he will be great. I can feel the stirrings of Fate. When Shade and Blood come undone, he will be there to usurp your preposterous position and level the playing field between the ordinary and shade-touched. You will stand here and grovel at his feet for him to recognize you as his family. We are leaving”

“He was supposed to be named Light, but father you have made me choose the name Sin, father.”

“So you are aware he is a sin.”

“No, for your sin of disowning him, he will be your reminder.”

This was the first conversation that the young child ever heard, while also being the only one where he heard the rage and overbearingness in his father’s voice. Soon the tenderness of mother’s love and the care of his father’s words buried the memory deep within.

“Father, why did those people just seem so afraid of me? I am so small compared to them.” said a very small dark ridgeback to his father, an equally dark older ridgeback.

“It is because we are tainted by the greatest evil in this world, The Shade.” the father replied

“We haven’t committed any sins, so why are they afraid of us?” Sin, the hatchling, asked perceptively.

“For it is our fate, to fight the Shade inside and the world outside. But some of us cave inwards to the Shade and they do terrible things to the world. So the world started to do the only thing it could do, fear and ostracize us.”

“Can we cleanse ourselves?”

“I cannot, but fate tells me you will find a way.”

“Really, father, what does fate tell you about me.”

“It tells me you will have a wise teacher, a terrifying elder brother, and an unpredictable mate.” The father laughed.

"" And me…"" A voice echoed in the heads of the father-son pair.

“No, you will not touch my son while I am still alive.” A sudden graveness appeared in the father’s voice.

""Then You will not survive""

“Dear, take Sin away, I must meditate to expel its influence.” he said. Such episodes were far too familiar for the young Sin. Episodes where Shade would attempt to take over the mind of his father. Fortunately, misfortune would miss the family of three once more.

As Sin grew older and older, he came to realize more and more of the world's cruelty. He began to hide his rage behind a smiling face and sorrow behind hopeful words. As the family kept traveling he came to know of many cultures that differ among breeds and allegiances. Though all of them had one thing in common, which was the hatred for the shade-touched. There were some who showed pity but only a few who were truly kind to them.
A few of those were the kind pair of merfolk who were the familiars of his parents. Their child promised to only ever become Sin’s familiar. He was, however, taken away by the council of a merfolk. They had no choice in the matter as among the merfolk the council held absolute control.

Therefore, the group consisted of the three dragons and two merfolk as they drifted here and there. Though suddenly Sin’s father decided to change his direction heading towards Sin’s grandfather’s clan, while his episodes started to increase. Until one day when they just stopped. On the other hand, Sin started to have his own episodes, moments of lost time. His group told him all was well, but he could see the scratches and bite marks they tried so hard to hide. The Shade was attacking his father through him. He was responsible for those wounds.

“Dad, I think it would be best if I left."" ""A now older but still merely a young adult, Sin declared.

“Nonsense” His father now older with a few more scars to show for it, seemed absolutely abhorrent to this idea.

“I am losing control of myself.”

“No, you are losing memory of your constant struggle against the shade.”

“But, I am hurting all of you nonetheless.”

“So what, it’s just a few more scars.”

“Scars caused by me and not others.”

“That doesn’t matter.”

“It does.”

“It doesn….” Sin didn’t hear the rest for he once more onset with blankness.

“Teacher, there is someone there.” He could hear a gentle voice. Sin tried to open his eyes but his exhaustion just wouldn’t allow it. He could feel the surroundings were slightly more comfortable than usual.

""Well done my child, you have removed the final barrier."" A voice he had heard many times. The Shade. He could feel it eroding away in his mind.

“He seems confused.” There was a calmer, older voice. It allowed him a moment of clarity.

“Of course, he would, resisting the shade can be stressing, isn’t that right, Senior.” Then came a more apathetic voice.

“Hmm” a grunt was the only response this senior had.

“Terror, can’t you help him? He is suffering. He is fighting the Shade.” the first voice called once more.

“He’s losing, the most I can do for him is remove the energy, not the will of the shade. To survive he must be unflinching. But who am I to say no to a free meal.” the senior said. Suddenly, the surroundings seemed to get more uncomfortable yet slightly more pleasant. It became slightly easier to resist the shade.

Just because that cretin is helping doesn’t mean you have won."" The wispy voice came once more with a sense of filling in Sin only for that to be drained away by this senior. A constant battle where Sin’s body was the battlefield. This senior was the final victor in the grab for control. With a final push, Sin managed to force Shade out of his mind, and once that was out it was eaten by this senior. Slowly Sin opened his eyes to see the gathering of four that surrounded him. An imperial, a pearlcatcher, a guardian and a mirror. The mirror was the closest and clearly the senior, while the imperial was the teacher.

Then he saw the scene they were trying to hide. His father, mother and the two merfolk all lie there amid much blood. They were carved with wounds. Wounds that were releasing clear signs of shade energy. He knew what the final obstacle that the shade mentioned was. The one thing that tethered him to rationality, the one reason he hid his rage, his family. His eyes started to turn red before turning watery. Noticing the fluctuation in emotion the imperial quickly came forward. He held Sin’s watery red gaze in his own calm yellow eyes.

“You did not harm your family, you felt the other shade-touched in the vicinity and on instinct pulled the shade to save your family. Unfortunately, he was strong enough to kill your family and put you so close to death before falling.” The imperial explained while pointing at an unknown corpse. The teary Sin accepted this reason without doubting it for a second. He didn’t notice the corpse noticeably lacked the signs of the implied struggle. Only a mirror bite laced with shade energy.

It took a few days for Sin to compose himself before he was willing to talk to the four of them. They quickly came to like the clever and sly young dragon with a warm heart, while Sin found himself looked at as a dragon rather than a creature. After a while, Sin conveyed his wish to bury his mother in her ancestral grounds. Initially, Sin made the journey alone only to be rejected by the fanatic and denied even an audience with his grandfather or cousins or any family. Hades told him to wait and personally went to that clan, who invited him with great enthusiasm. He was greeted by all the juniors among which were Sin’s cousins. Finally, the chief personally invited him to the clan halls, despite the priests constant protest on the basis of his students.

“Chief, I have found one of your grandsons to hold very great qualities. He holds an absolutely arrogant heart but works with humble effort. His mind is colder than the coldest regions of this world but his emotions run high.” Hades said to the chief.

“Who might this lucky one be?” The chief, although confused regarding the in-depth understanding, was overjoyed after all three legendary stories were written by this very imperial. So, if the next student had his blood running in him, that would be simply great. Then he heard the ruckus outside, a dispute between the priest and another group it seemed. He moved outside while being calmly followed by Hades. Outside he saw three vastly different dragons surrounding one shade-touched ridgeback.

“That one.” Hades said. Sin smiled in acknowledgement before turning to his grandfather.

“Grandfather, your Sin has returned.” Sin gave a simple smile. The smile caused the chief to be so shocked he was unable to say anything while Sin buried his parents alongside their familiars. The priest had meanwhile found himself at the mercy of Terror, thus not making any noise. This would go down as one of only two times that Sin has asked this big brother by circumstance to force another into submission.

The next time would be when together the pair barged into the council of Merfolk to rescue the merfolk friend that Sin had lost so long ago. After that Sin became the brain behind the ascension of kind-hearted dragons while his big brother handled the punishment of the ill-willed. This went on for a long time until one day he stumbled upon a conversation between his youngest junior and Terror.

“Junior, you don’t have the right approach.” he told the truly kind spiral.

“What do you mean , senior Sin” the spiral asked.

“See, Terror is a true-blue shade-touched.”

“But so are you.”

“But, I don’t use the shade energy. And unlike me, who is angry at the world for my status, Terror, he is angry at himself for being shade-touched. You can’t just stop him from thinking he is a monster, even Myst has yet to succeed. But don’t worry, there will eventually be 7 Crests of Hades.” Unfortunately, while Terror did go on to form a Crest, there were only 6 Crests. The junior was later found with shade-touched marks.

The sight was enough to cause Sin to rage and wish to wreak havoc, however in a few moments of clarity he realized this was a trap for Terror. Alas, Terror was long gone. As the minutes turned to hours, Sin started to worry more and more as he could sense the waves of shade energy as well as the excitement the Shade was expressing. Until, finally, he felt the roar of resistance and unbridled rage of the Shade. He knew what had happened and smiled.

“Teacher, I lack the means that Terror has but not the drive. He has started a war against the Shade, so I will ensure peace amongst us and the dragons.”

Today, I swear an oath,
An oath of Peace,
With my blood as witness,
I swear that my claws shall know no blood,
I swear that my mind shall know no guilt.

The marks on his body receded as all the shade energy was directed deep into his body leaving behind but simple marks. He was freed of his status as a shade-touched and became a Shadeblood.

With these marks as the only reminder of his status, he went on to be the leader of the Peace Crest, where he leads with righteousness but does not hesitate to strike from the dark.
