Personality: Petra is a very shy, insecure dragon, often despised since she is a child of Ventus.

Short story: Petra slunk into her cave, feeling sharp gazes sliding off her pelt. She lowered her head and walked faster. None of her sisters ever got this treatment, though they all had the same father, King Ventus. It was just because she had the same colors and patterns. She was even a completely different breed.
Maybe she could just run away. Pack her bags and fly off into the night. But where would she go?
There was only one answer to that. She would have to go to the Dark Canyon. Where the Darklings lived. Where her father lived.

Petra had heard horrifying stories about Ventus, how he tortured his subjects. They couldn't possibly be true, right? She shuddered, remembering the stories her mother had told her.
But Petra didn't know where the canyon was. She stepped carefully out of her cave, shifting her translucent blue wings slightly so they covered her face. She heard disgusted snorts and growls as she walked through the huddled groups of dragons. She leapt off a ledge and spread her wings, making sure not to make eye contact with anyone as she caught a thermal and spiraled upwards. She peered across the horizon, past the mountain. Desert, desert, and more desert. Just dirt and dust and tiny plants. There was no way. Petra would just have to survive here until she figured something out.
