Biography

A little koi fish once swam up a waterfall, past the mountain temple and through the sacred pine gate. For her perseverance the countenance of a dragon was gifted to her; little eyes worn with river water now ran forever like the falls.
At night when the city streetlights dance like lovers on the river’s surface she takes the form of a young woman who wanders the city taverns and bars. If you let her in she will pay her tab in gold, if she blows you a kiss you will meet the one you seek under the crescent moon. No one knows where she disappears to in the wee hours, but sometimes she can be seen on the stone-brick bridge overlooking the canal admiring the grounded stars.
Sometimes a devil-like dragon with a corkscrew horn joins her.
Thank you snowy!
Those are the familiar nights—when the city lamppost's lights dance like lovers on the waters of the canal. Like an undercurrent receiving the mirth raining from the music houses, the taverns and the clubs, the currents carry on in bubbles and eddies that replicate laughter. On this cobble on these streets sound well-accustomed silk shoes worn by a woman with a red peony in her hair.
