Nightmare

Nightmare got his name from his terrifying attitude on the battlefield. He was once a great warrior and a force to be reckoned with. Despite his tiny size, he had immense strength. In battle, he wielded both shadow magic and a claymore. He was known for his nightmarish blade, a darksteel blade with conduits for magic running through. Nightmare had it specially made to channel magic through the conduits. After spending many years on the battlefield of dominance, Nightmare’s birth name had been long forgotten. He was a nightmare and all would know upon meeting him. He was a menace and a terror. He even became a general of the Shadowbinder’s army.

Everything changed when Dark showed up. She was a sweet and loving field medic. Nightmare first saw her on the front lines. She fearlessly charged in and directed her team to get the hurt dragons out. Nightmare was drawn to her and before he knew it, he was following her into the med hut. She was like a general too. She commanded her team and saved countless lives. She was incredible. Nightmare fell for her.

He mustered up all his battlefield courage and introduced himself. Much to his surprise, Dark told him to go away. She was elbow deep in injured dragons and didn’t have time for ‘General Nightmare.’ She dismissed him from her tent and told him to get back to the field. The more time he spent fighting, the less dragons she had to fix up. Nightmare committed to making her job easier. She was incredible and like nothing else. He trained harder and spent as much time as he could on the front line. He would certainly make Dark’s job easier.

Eventually, Nightmare made enough of a difference to give Dark a break. He immediately asked her out. She was intrigued and agreed. The two fell in love. They both left the Shadowbinder’s service and started their own clan. Nightmare was as aggressive in protecting his clan as he had been in fighting on the front lines. Any shortcoming in protecting the clan, was like a personal attack to Nightmare. Nothing mattered to him more than keeping his family safe.

After one of his clutches was killed by a beast clan raid, Nightmare became stricter with his clan. The incident left him scarred, both physically and mentally. He began to stay at the clan all the time to make sure nothing and no one would ever hurt his family again. He swore to everyone that he would rather take his own life than let anything happen to his clan.
