who will be there to save you when the world ends?

orpheus is a prodigious musician and instrument maker. he is married to eurydice, who he would travel to the underworld and back for. they live in the center of the city, near the market, above orpheus's instrument shop.

"sit still!" eurydice exclaimed, brandishing her paintbrush like a weapon. orpheus froze.

"don't even talk," she hissed as he opened his mouth. this painting had to be perfect.

she added the finishing details on the painting and stepped back to look at it. it was beautiful, a perfect depiction of her husband.

"you can move now," she said with a laugh. orpheus stretched and walked over to her. he smelled like oranges and clove, she noticed.

"i look so perfect! how did you do that?"

"i don't know," eurydice said, leaning into him. "i just painted. you're naturally perfect, so it was easy."

"wow."

"it's true."

"i love you, you know," orpheus said.

"i love you too."
