Biography
This is Thelazias attempt at recreating the automaton he once found in a junk pile, and his earliest attempt at creating life. He could never figure out why that one seemed so alive, with independent thought and its own motivations. So when trying to create Dove he ran into some issues. Building the shell was as easy as picking up a scroll on lightning robotics, but how to give it life? His first attempt was a failure in necromancy, the soul of the ice dragon he tried to bond to it fled the vesel once his back was turned. So he turned to powering it with pure magic in the hopes that Dove would create its own soul. To this day he's still unsure of if it did.
Dove remembers everything from the first moment it was turned on. It remembers sunlight streaming through dirty windows, and the smell of ozone, and the cluttered lab of its birth. It remembers the pain of separation. The first few weeks of life were happy, in a way. Its father was so attentive. But as the days grew long, and Dove grew lonelier, its motivation for life dwindled. It sat on a shelf for months, and then in a crate for years. But eventually, through some shuffling and commotion, it was free into the burning sun of the desert. And it only looked back once, with fondness, but sadness too.
Found wandering by Gearge's group, they attempted to bring it along. But the heat of the desert wore on it, and it had trouble keeping up with the rest of the group. Recently Flint said enough was enough, and he brought Dove to Undercroft to stay with his sister-in-law Ianna. She's slowly been teaching it to keep records and practice basic ethics. Re-writing all that it absorbed from years with a mad scientist has been a task and a half.
It has a bubbly and childlike personality. Things like morals and ethics are still a bit out of its grasp, but Dove is learning. Slowly, with trial and error.
