Sunfall, that’s what I am. I spread across all of Sorneith, like the rays of the sun. I am the light in the fields, and the light that dispels shadows in corners. I am the light that fuels life. But I am but one dragon. I am only one dragon, only 4 meters in length. How can I light the world, when I am so insignificant?

Yet I shall continue oh so diligently, being the light, the sun that falls upon the ground. And I have persisted being the fall of the sun, the sun rays, for years and years. Yet now I grow tired, the light of the earth shines ever so brightly, yet I dim. But I must persist for without me, there is nothing, there is only darkness. is there not?

So I ignore my growing weariness and my dimming light, and continue to light the world. for what purpose? For this is my sacred duty, my duty to light the path for others. I live to light the life of others, so they can live and grow, with the sun ever falling on their scales. should i not light my own life? I push aside my doubts and focus on my task. For I was given life to give life and light to others. For I was given life to be the sun that falls upon the lands. Wasn’t I?

It cannot be? This cannot be true. I live for others, not myself. But it is MY life. Without me others would be nothing, they would be darkness. I must produce MY light, they can produce theirs. But my life it is meant to serve others, to serve the greater good. MY life should NOT be given away, it should be LIVED

The truth, I have finally learned, I see it clearly now. A dragon should produce their own light, I should produce mine, and they should produce their’s. So I close my eyes, and reach out to feel my energy, my aura, my magic spread across the continent. And I pull on it and call it back home.

I feel my weariness drift away, and I see my light growing, soon glowing brighter and stronger than ever before. I step out of my cave, out of my hidden away home. The world seems slightly less bright, but also far warmer. And I, I feel ….
