Ardul isn't exactly quiet, but most things aren't worth the time or effort to focus on. He'd rather do the work needed of him, and then get back to investigating and gathering remains, a grisly hobby that many find a particular degree of disgusting. Ardul has spent enough of his young life questioning himself, and finds comfort in the hidden language of the dead and rotten, especially since bones do not lie as his kin do.

Did you know that bones can give so much more information about a creature than talking to one can give? You can find out where they lived, what foods they ate, and how they perished. Ardul has to handle bones with care, lest he lose a piece of the larger story told within. Ardul obsession with bones comes from his loss of his siblings, supposedly marked for exaltation, gone missing before the prerequisite date. The dragons who investigated the disappearance either tossed aside essential evidence or simply had no clue what to look for, eventually leaving more questions than answers. Questions Ardul ponders to this day. He never wishes this suffering upon any other. So, he looks upon every bone with the utmost care and the hope that perhaps someday, he will find some answers for those who still wonder.
