Pounamu
Name origin:
Pounamu is the name for jade in the Maori language.
Lore
Upon release from the Pillar, the Earthshaker looked upon his domain and saw how barren the plains looked. Filled with only browns, blacks, and reds, he thought the world needed some color. Using his magical energies, he created a stone made of bright greens. Then, in order to spread this new color throughout the land, he shaped a dragon out of the stone and brought it to life. He gave it the mission of spreading beauty through his territory, and thus the Malachite Dragon was born.

Malachite dragons love all things they deem beautiful, and tend to hoard pretty trinkets. Some of their favorite items are decorative plants, jewelry, and seashells. Because they were created with beauty in mind, they are not particularly good fighters and are actually quite fragile.
