‘Tis a mate for Forest. Literally no other reason besides he looks nice.


Ysolt was hatched somewhere in The Shifting Expanse. Back when he was young, he was wild and always getting into trouble.

Sometime when he was a young adult, he got up and left his home. He was always seeking a new adventure, so he decided to visit The Viridian Labyrinth. Once he was there, he went straight to the Gladekeeper and demanded that he would become a loyal soldier. The Gladekeeper, confused, sent him away.

Ysolt was crushed and decided to become a soldier anyway. He wore a hood and a cape, and snuck into the Soldier’s barracks. He introduced himself as Tsuyoi, for he wanted to believe he really was strong. Sadly, he never was made a soldier, since he was a weakling.

After that moment, he kept the hood, cape, and even his fake name. He lived as Tsuyoi for so long, that he nearly forgot who he really was.

Cold morning light seeped into the cramped rocky den. Ysolt peeked his head out of the window.
“Tsuyoi,” a gruff voice barked.
“Good morning, Shokku,” Ysolt grumbled.
“I heard you were going to leave,” Shokku said, his long whip-like tail lazily swishing back and forth.
“WHAT?!” Ysolt shrieked, his voice mixed with anger and surprise. “THAT WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE PUBLIC!”
Shokku flinched. “Sorry.”
Ysolt stood right up in the other Imperial’s face, bared his teeth and glared. “What. Do. You. Want.”
“I want to help you get out of here. I know the way to the Gladekeeper’s domain,” Shokku replied calmly.
Ysolt’ Sanger melted. “What?”
His friend stood up tall. “I will help you.”

Ysolt then packed a bag with his most valuable belongings and set off with Shokku.

After a long journey, he and Shokku spent a few months in the Gladekeeper’s territory. After that, Shokku decided to stay, and Ysolt departed to the Plaugebringer’s domain.

Ysolt then gained the deity’s trust and joined the clan. He even found a nice lair with many dragons. Ysolt is very shy around the Plaugebringer’s dragons, and lived as far away from them as possible. Although he was living far away, he stayed with them for the benefits of food.

He eventually met Forest, joined the rebel group, fell in love with her, and married her.

Today Ysolt is in charge of battle planning in the rebel group. But something about Spirit is strange, and Ysolt is trying to figure out what it is. He studies Spirit constantly, scratching notes in a small stone tablet.
