Biography
Celene is one of the clan's Shamans. She is a very quiet dragon, feeling no need to speak unless she has something worth-while to say or if she is spoken to first. This is more than likely the effect of her life before being brought to the temple as a slave. Celene has an intimate knowledge of herbs and their properties— able to name the herb by smell alone. After learning of this ability while Celene insisted on cooking like she was used to, Seraphim introduced Celene to Tyson who in turn taught Celene about shamanism. Celene took to it right away, and since her knowledge was so intimate needed not a mentor.
Now, Celene spends much of her time working inside the temple to create new medicines or outside in the Tangled Woods gathering herbs. Unlike Tyson, Celene chooses not to stray far from the safety of the temple or her new family. Among the few members of the family Celene feels safe with, she has taken a certain shine to Lalan and the two work frequently together. Celene doesn't talk to the other members of the family much, nor does she enjoy it. She has, in spite of this, found a mate in the Sooth-Sayer Virgil.
Virgil is fiercely protective of Celene, rivaling Lalan and her mates easily. He knows that some of their family, such as Jayna and Meirion, pick on Celene and cause great harm to her well-being— whether or not they intend to. Arcana, Virgil's mentor, is less than thrilled about her pupil taking on a mate who is not another Speaker. Virgil really doesn't care for that, and insists that he loves Celene anyways. The Spiral herself has become very fond of Virgil. She enjoys spending time with him under the safety of his wing, watching him preform and practice spells, or listening to him talk in general. On the rare occasion he cannot find the right ingredient for his spell, Celene will know and find it for him.
