Sugilite

Bouncing through the halls of the watery cave, the boastful, chittery laughter of young Sugilite was everywhere. From yanking on his clanmate's tail and hiding quickly to mixing octopus ink in with afternoon tea, not one moment was wasted in his day. His rambunctious nature was almost too much for the settled, proper nest in which he was born.

To help him find his best place, Sugilite was sent to the Vermillion tribe. His nonsense and joke-cracking fit in with the young clan, and he was free to play tricks to his heart's content. It wasn't just appreciated, it was reciprocated. Many times he had found himself drinking ink in his own afternoon tea!

Although everyone put up a good fight, none was a match for him. Until one day, he tried to pull the tail of the pretty new girl. His claws had just closed around the gently ticking tail tip when suddenly she was gone, and he was drenched in pollen and honey. Tinkling laughter echoed back at him as he watched Kyanite flit away, her eyes sparkling. Staring after her in wonder, he worked quickly to remove the sticky mess and chase her down. At last, he had found his match.
