Benne is the second adopted Skydancer after Sidd.
And he is also the bane of Sidd's existence.
Unfortunately, their arch rivalry is one neither of them will likely relinquish.

Benne is a rather gentle dragon, with a love for fruits, butterflies, shells and nature in it's entirety.
He is also a rather charming and well-mannered, easily able to persuade others and calm tensions. It's tough to believe that he would be up to any sort of mischief. However, he still tends to get away with a lot of his framing shenanigan's against Sidd. Even at the start when they were both hatchlings, he has been nothing but grief and torment for poor Sidd. This unfortunately, has led to Sidd being blamed for deeds not done, and has led to animosity between him and Benne.
Benne may be a sweetheart, and seemingly refined and proper, though he takes great pleasure in fooling others and gets satisfaction from playing with his prey.
It's a little worrisome that in he past he would go as far as to ruin some dragon's projects, cause cave-ins, and leave behind sharp bones for others to step on...all to put blame on Sidd.

Benne has a two sons, Cryss the Courier and Liam. In a funny turn of events, Cryss seems to be close, good, inseparable friends with Sidd's son Erekk. (Though Benne, of course, doesn't approve of such a friendship...) Many believe he had a son right after Sidd as a sort of vengeful act, in getting the advantage over Sidd. Though it's not beyond Sidd to do the same. The two have never relinquished their ferocious rivalry, and likely never will, although Benne seems to always want peace and for their animosity to end. His apologies and his acknowledgement of Sidd's status in the clan have only gone so far. Benne, however, truly just wants Sidd kicked out for good, and won't leave until he does.

Benne has a fascinatingly simple relationship with Liam. He does his best to teach his son how to be better in nearly every way to outshine Sidd's sons. Though this is on many levels a good thing, in actuality Benne just wants to boast superior offspring to decimate and drive out the Sanguistear family from the kingdom.
