Springfire

It is a sunny and peaceful day at the Grasswhistle clan, but Springfire's heart is beating as if the beastclans are at her doorstep. Another vision had flashed through her mind more vivid than any other, of crashing thunder and fierce winds and dragon bodies broken under falling rocks and tsunamis. She rose from where she was basking and hurried to the Council's cavern.

The veteran dragons were suprised to see her enter. Her mother Wildness stood slightly, maybe she had seen the fear in Springfire's eyes. Maybe her mother had seen how afraid she was of revealing her secret to the clan, and how her butterfly wings trembled when she spoke.

"A storm is coming." Springfire said to them, hoping that her primal eyes hid how terrified she was. "A big one, we need to evacuate."

From then on the clan leader Sollie kept Springfire at her side often, asking her if she had any visions for battle plans and clan matters. Springfire's gifts were never announced to anyone outside clan leadership, but there were rumours about how such a young dragon could have joined the Council.

Springfire had saved the clan but her life and her spare time now belonged to the Sollie and the Council. The freedom she had enjoyed as just another member of Grasswhistle was now gone.
