Novella Luna
~~~~~  ~~~~~Long after the sun has set, and the ocean is dark and calm. With little effort, dragon erupts from a patch of the sea, spinning as she takes into the air, flecks of water flying off her and glittering in the moonlight. Novella spreads her wings, catching the wind as she admires the moon, the skeletal markings on her face alight with a pale glow. She smiles at the breeze in her face on the cool summer night, and turns to glide over the waves. Stretching out her claws and folding up her wings, she alights atop a thin, yet study spire of stone piercing the ocean’s depths. Far below her, her clanmates sleep, but she lights a lantern with a pale blue flame and keeps watch over the quiet seas. ~~~~~ ~~~~~

For working with the shade, A line of magical Gaolers cursed Novella’s lineage turn to dust in the sun—thus, she has only ever known the pale glow of the moon. She moved to the water flight in search of shelter from the sun’s harsh rays, and acts as a lookout on top the peak of Thalassic Wing’s spire during long nights. She loves it when the sky is clear, so she can dance in the light of the moon above water. During the day, she sleeps in the trenches. Despite the fact her situation is quite negative, she handles it with grace and composure, and deeply appreciates that at least, she can enjoy the moon. Among her clanmates, she is a very respected dragon. Those who stay up late will visit to give her gifts and tell her of the day's events before she has sentry duty, and Thallassic Wings has several night-owls she loves to visit, including Marshmallow and Cleo. She has had several suitors, but turned them down, as she believes romance was never for her. |
